At the start of 2007 we were a revolving door of musicians playing random improvised shows. In 2009 we began focusing on mostly composed pieces. Show lineups range from 4-30 members. Nearly 40 members of the Chicago music scene are involved with Origin of Animal. Our music combines elements such as Jazz and Rock to form a big band that utilizes strings, horns, guitars and percussion. ... more
